In 2016, he was selected into the cultivation program of 100 Young Academic Leaders of Nankai University, and in 2019, he was supported by the National Science Foundation for Excellent Young Scholars. His main research interests are microstructural photonics and nonlinear optics. His research focuses on light transmission and novel physical phenomena in topological optical microstructures. In recent years, he has published more than 40 papers in famous journals such as Nat. Mater., Nat. mun., Phys. Rev. Lett., 2D Mater., Optica, Opt. Lett., Opt. Express. He was cited more than 600 times in SCI. He has presided over the projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the sub-projects of the 973 Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and participated in the national key research and development projects as an academic backbone. He also participated in writing a chapter of the monograph "Research Frontiers in Nonlinear Optics", a series of research frontiers in optical physics published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University Press.
